Antetokounmpo was born in Athens, Greece, and is the son of Nigerian immigrants living in Greece. Despite this, he does not have Nigerian citizenship. ROUTINE: First, he explains a Saturday afternoon in March, it's his nap, a priority, as it is for many professional athletes. Antetokounmpo traces his dependence on the nap to his adolescence. At age 14, in Greece, recalls his father Charles, he slept a nap between school dismissal at 2pm and play at 7pm.

Now, Antetokounmpo is delivered after the morning shots. "The Greek Monster" leads from the Bucks' practice center to his home in River Hill, 15 minutes north. He sleeps in his custom size bed at 1pm and does not wake up until 3:45 p.m. "If I do not take a nap, I can not play," he explains.

Once it is recharged, Antetokounmpo leaves the arena at 4pm and allows 30 minutes to stretch and do some soft tissue work with Laura Tietjen, her physiotherapist. Then it's time to go to the stave for warm-ups at 4:50 pm. Assistant coach Ben Sullivan is already waiting for Antetokounmpo to perform his carefully written shooting routine. When Antetokounmpo appears on the hardwood - usually with a tight white sleeveless shirt, orange shoes and sweatshirt - the two men do not speak.

There is an important part of the pregame routine that has little to do with performance. He admits that it limits superstition: while players hit fists and prepare to fight, Antetokounmpo stops for the basket and enters the first row of fans, beating his chest once with each hand before raising his right hand to the sky . Now, finally, he's ready to strike the first blow.

After the games, win or lose, Antetokounmpo invariably sits in his locker, lays his feet and silently reflects on his actions at night, before bathing and dressing.

"His routine is exaggerated," said teammate Khris Middleton. "I know where he will be every second before the game. When you see that he is not doing that, you realize that something is wrong. "

Antetokounmpo's routine is evidence of his competitive hunger and remarkable progress since he entered the NBA as an undeclared teenager from Greece in 2013. For six seasons, Antetokounmpo has dramatically improved his scoring, rebounds, passes, ball handling and general efficiency He ranks first in the player's efficiency ranking, third in scoring and sixth in rebounding in the entire league, while serving as the best defensive player in the most stingy defense in the NBA. His rise has been helped by his development of professional habits and his willingness to absorb the guidance of the Milwaukee training staff.

ALL-STARS PLAYER: With 24 years, the native of Athens has established itself as one of the most dominant forces in the NBA. In this season he averaged a double-double (27.2 points and 12.7 rebounds) and with high-impact plays he became the most voted player in the Eastern Conference. With 991,561 votes from the public and thanks to the support of technicians and journalists, he became one of the two captains of the All Star.

The NBA had to change the voting system of the public because of the fury of the Greek, since before it was voted on all social networks by writing the name of the player accompanied by the hashtag #NBABallot. The majority of users wrote the surname Antetokounmpo badly, reason why it lost votes. However, it is now one of the most sought after in Google in the right way, with 7,420,000 results.
